Monday Mani: OPI Vintage Minnie Mouse Mini Pack

I am a huge fan of Minnie Mouse. I can't hide my excitement when OPI came out with the Vintage Minnie Mouse collection. It feels like childhood again!!!!

This collection is made up of red and pink colors, definitely the colors of Minnie. There are 4 beautiful colors; (1) I'm All Ears, (2) If You Moust You Moust, (3) The Color of Minnie and (4) Nothin' Mousie 'bout It.

I bought the Mini Pack because I thought it was an economical way to try out all the colors. But I was really disappointed when I received it. The Mini Pack doesn't come with Nothin' Mousie 'bout It. Instead, they substitute with Rapid Dry Top Coat. Not only I can't try out new color but they substitute with something so familiar. I'm sure most of us have at least one top coat on the shelf, whether it is rapid dry or not, and we want to try something new.

My most favorite color from this collection is I'm All Ears. It is a coral pink, more towards cough syrup pink (I have weird sense when describing colors). It has very obvious purple and pink shimmer. The formula is somewhat sheer. When layer up, it looks almost jelly-ish. You need 3 coats for full capacity.

My next favorite color is The Color of Minnie. This is a bright red. I can't tell if it has blue tone or yellow tone base. But I assure you, it is the color to die for. It has semi-shimmer finish and very pigmented. You need only one application for full capacity.

And my least favorit is If You Moust You Moust. It is a plastic Barbie pink. I think I've seen too many pink nail polish and this is just another one. The formula is also quite average. You need two coats for full capacity.

Lastly, I tried on the Rapid Dry Top Coat. It dries up the surface of your lacquer in approximately 3 minutes. But it doesn't guarantee drying up the underneath coat, so you still have to be very careful if you're apply double or triple coat. Here's a comparison of the Rapid Dry Top Coat with and without.

If you're going to spend on a full size bottle, I advise you to get I'm All Ears. It is a very interesting color and also very unique by itself. So, what color of nail polish are you putting on to start your week???
