WonderBox February 2013 Chinese New Year Edition

You probably already seen the preview of this month's WonderBox from some blogs. I couldn't wait for mine to arrive and been peeping on other people's blog to find out what are the products featured in this month's box. I found out that there are two versions of WonderBox this month. Most of the products are the same, but version #1 has three bottles of Jacqueline Burchell nail polish and version #2 has one bottle of Jacqueline Burchell and Clinelle Moisture Booster.

While I was unboxing my WonderBox, I was praying that, "Please get the three bottles Jacqueline Burchell... Please get the three bottles Jacqueline Burchell... Please get the three bottles Jacqueline Burchell..."

And............................................................ I GOT THE THREE BOTTLES OF JACQUELINE BURCHELL NAIL POLISH!!!!!

1. Murad VITALIC T-ZONE Pore Refining Gel 3.7ml (RM228/50ml)
Clears pores while balancing oily and dry zones, visibly reduces pore size for a flawless complexion. Tips: Apply gel after toning and follow-up with moisturizer after application to prevent dryness. Apply evenly over area of skin with large pores.

The size of this sample is rather small. I'm not too sure how effective is this pore minimizer until I try it. If it's really that effective, then the sample size can be justified easily.

2. Murad Energizing Pomegranate Moisturizer 30ml (RM180/50ml)
Lightweight, oil-free moisturizer infuses skin with hydration and protects against UVA/UVB rays.

In terms of size, this looks like good travel mate. And I think I will like it because it has UVA, as well as UVB rays protection. Will try it soon.

3. H2O+ Marine Toner 30ml (RM99/200ml)
Revitalizing, alcohol-free toner that sweeps away impurities while improving moisture absorption. With Allantoin, Provitamin B and Hydrating Marine Blend.

Never tried this before, but H2O+ is a reputable skincare brand, I think it might be a great product to try.

4. H2O+ Oasis Dual-Action Exfoliating Cleanser 30ml (RM99/120ml)
Deeply cleanse and revitalize skin with this gently refining, oil-free formula. Made with natural fruit enzymes, jojoba beads, and moisturizing marine botanicals.

My college roommate used to be a fan of this exfoliating cleanser, and she offered to let me try once. I really liked it but I never use it again (phaiseh to use other people's stuff and at the same time I was a fan of Estee Lauder so I didn't buy it). I'm quite happy to see this in this month's box.

5. Jacqueline Burchell Nail Lacquer 3 x 5ml (SGD9 (RM22)/5ml)
With over 250 nail lacquer colours to choose from, Jacqueline Burchell nail lacquer will bring out the colour in your life. Certified to be free of Toluene, Formaldehyde & Dibutyl phthalate.

L-R: Spiral Nebula, Bullet Cluster, Subatomic

I'm so excited over this!!! I'm a huge fan of nail polish and I heard of this brand before. I didn't know where to get it and it never cross my mind to purchase it, but I'm still excited to receive it. The texture is somehow like Butter London and it's a one-coater. However, the color that I got don't really suit my skintone :(

OVERALL: This month's WonderBox leans more towards skincare, which I don't really fancy. I'm really comfortable with my own skincare routine and a bit reluctant to try new stuff. Even if I like them, it will take a lot of convincing before I want to change to their featured brand. Nonetheless, all the four skincare products have different use and complete the whole facial routine from cleansing, toning, serum to moisturizer. And they're not from cheap brand too! On the other hand, the Jacqueline Burchell did add some colors to this month's box. I really love the Jacqueline Burchell nail polish! Although I read from WonderBox Facebook page, a lot of people don't like the texture and claimed that it is clumpy, I don't have that problem. I'm really not too sure if it's a personal user problem or I'm already an expert in painting nails. These nail polish really got me interested in writing a separate review.

In terms of brands, I find that WonderBox do feature a lot of well-known and expensive brands. But most of the time, their products lean towards skincare - Clinelle, The Body Shop, Murad are some of their frequent brands. I wish to see more.... more... and more... makeups from WonderBox.

WonderBox has the best point system. They're very generous in giving points. If you love to be rewarded, WonderBox is one of the many beauty boxes in Malaysia that you can consider.

WonderBox is RM39.90 each month, and you can subscribe your own box <<here>>.
