Michelle Phan's New Makeup Line Em-Cosmetics

Last night I received email from MichellePhan.com that she has finally launched her own makeup line called Em-Cosmetics.

I'm always amazed by her never-ending energy and passion. She has huge project every year and all of them are so successful. It is very obvious that she works hard throughout her journey to success. I mean, I watch her from her earlier videos where she filmed from her rented room. And now she's a successful business woman in the beauty industry. She's worth all the admiration that I can give.

Anyway, her makeup line consist of only one thing.... which is THE LIFE PALETTE. The Life Palette is a 36 pan of refillable shades of eye shadows, lip color and blusher.

The are 6 curated palette which you can choose to suit your style. Each palette cost USD75. Unfortunately it is still not available here :(

This is the palette which I don't mind getting. I really love the "beach" palette.

Unfortunately, there are few things which I don't like about the palette. Firstly, the plastic packaging looks really cheap. It reminds me of those cheap watercolor which my parents got for me to play when I was young. Secondly, on the same palette there are few colors that are very close to each other. On the skin, it might appear to be dupe. But don't take my words for that because I haven't actually swatch it or seen it being swatched before.

In terms of quality, I don't think there's any worries because Em Cosmetics is developed by established cosmetic group, L'Oreal.

What do you think of Em-Cosmetics? Is this something which you will purchase?

I'd love to try out a product here and there, but the price is a huge turn-off...

It;s such a shame that we can't get it here yet :( they are having a lot of promotions and free gifts and special gifts for beauty gurus... I do agree that the life palette is a great concept but not very attracted with the packaging, I love the over packaging though, the lipsticks look very exclusive :)

Michelle Phan is indeed an inspiration! :D I think it's a pretty exciting thing for her (and us as well) with the launch of her makeup palettes. But I have to agree, looking at the pictures it does seem like a kid's watercolor palette, haha. Also, I don't like the idea of both eyeshadows and blusher being placed so close together like that. Or maybe it's just my OCD talking, because I absolutely hate it when excess powder goes into into colour. >_<

Michelle Phan was indeed an inspiration! I think she went through lots of stuff in her life, so many things she have done. truly amazing...

but for her makeup line...its was quite a surprise actually. im expecting more from her.. the first impression when i saw the palette i was like...

meh? this looks like the eyeshadow from the Jewelry store like in sinma... but i cant judge as i don't even hands on it right... what bothers me is the presentation of the products... i don't like it, and may not getting the palette. for other stuff, maybe.

totally agree with Sabrina, it really looks like the type of cosmetics that Sinma will sell, and judging from the colours, it doesn't look like there's much variety at all :/
