Things I really use: Hair products

Last week I started a series called "Things I really use" to showcase the products that I actually use on a daily basis (if not, regularly). The previous one, I've show you all the makeup necessities that I use, and today I'm going to show you all the hair products that I use.

I'm a minimalist when it comes to hair products. I don't have any styling products because I think it spoils the hair if used regularly. So I keep my hair care really simple - shampoo, conditioner, serum and leave on treatment. Before this I had a lot of hair dye and the ruined my hair badly. I resort to cutting my hair short, simple and my hair is now back to the original color that I'm born with. Now my hair is so much healthier, partly also thanks to the products below:

To treat my hair from the core, I use the (1) Kerastase Initialiste (Review here), which is a hair and scalp serum. I only use this 3 times a week. So on alternate days when I need to fix my frizzy hair, I use the (2) L'Oreal Professional Mythic Oil. The one I have is a limited edition designed by Dilek Hanif. The Mythic Oil is super good that it deserves a separate review. Will post it up soon.

For washing, I used to use normal shampoos like Pantene, Rejoice, etc. I felt that shampoo won't do anything good or bad to my hair because it is just going to rinse off soon after I lather it. I have never been so wrong. After I switched to the (3) Kerastase Cristaliste shampoo, I experience less hair fall out.It is definitely easier to manage. I can feel the drastic improvement of my hair after I change to Kerastase shampoo. Lastly, for conditioner, I use the (4) Ma Cherie Air Feel Conditioner. I first tried Ma Cherie years ago and I super love it. Luckily Ma Charie is now available in Malaysia. I prefer the Air Feel than the other range, which I think was for mositurizing. It leaves my hair soft and light like those shampoo advertisment where the model swing their hair around....that kind of feeling.

Basically those are the products I use on my hair. Other than that, I use a regular hair brush and I don't always blow dry my hair to keep my hair looking healthy. I let it dry naturally all the time.

For the next "Things I really use" segment, should I post about my skincare first or my bath and body products?

i've seen a lot of Ma Cherie products laying around in Watsons, but I'm unsure whether they really work or not for rebellious frizzy hair. do u think u can make a separate post/review for Ma Cherie? ^_^

@Mieza Everdeen: Sure. But I need sometime because I don't use their shampoo. After my shampoo finish, I'm goign to get the Ma Cherie one.

I'm using the Kerastase Cristaliste shampoo as well. My hair condition had improved so much as it drop lesser compare with the result i used from the drug store hair shampoo. I would recommend to use the Kerastase Elixir Kultime Serum as well. It does not makes my hair sculp oily meanwhile maintaining the soft and smooth texture at the ends.

i don't use hair styling products too..

i usually alternate my hair products within two brands. because i read it somewhere that if you use a product long enough, it actually won't be that effective after awhile.. so i have quite a basketful of shampoos, conditioners, treatments, masks in the the bathroom :/
