What's In My Trash (vol.3)

People think I'm mad for collecting empty packaging of beauty products I've used up. This is something non-blogger won't go through. We're mad for a reason. The reason is I need to post up "What's in my trash" blog post. Here's another post after finishing up some products.

Let's dig into my trash and find the evidence of my beauty crime...

1. Benefit Remove It Makeup Remover
For the price, I would say it's not worth it. There are so many makeup remover that works better than this and cost much cheaper. But for packaging, it is totally worth it. I'm keeping it to put faux flower in it. It makes a pretty decor. My friend got this for me a long time ago. Quite sayang to use it, so I use a little each time.

2. L'Occitane Immortelle Brightening Cleansing Foam
Buy! Buy! Buy! I can only say good things about this foam cleanser (I'm bias because I love the Immortelle skincare range from L'Occitane). I love the scent. It is light, relaxing and fresh. I love how it is so gentle on the skin, but still able to remove my liquid foundation. One thing that I'm not too sure is the brightening effect. I don't really see it on my skin. I suggest this cleanser as everyday use, but for targeted brightening, maybe not.

3. ZA True White Night Cream
I started using this after my Aupres night mask finish. At first, I was thinking of using it for a short while until I have the time to restock the Aupres. A few nights after using it, I realized it is not too bad. In the end I finish up the entire jar. I must say for a period of time I did rely on it to keep my skin moisturize at night. I love sleeping in aircond and it is really bad for my skin. Thankfully, this night cream able to protect my face from getting too dry. Whitening effect almost non-existence. But get it for the hydration power.

4.  Too Cool For School After School BB Foundation Lunch Box SPF37 PA++
I'm not a fan of this product. It appears to be hydrated when you first apply, but later the texture change and becomes dry on the skin. The coverage is unnatural. It makes my face look like wayang cina, as if I just apply chalk on my face. Anyway, this is just the sample. I'm not convinced after using it for about 5 times. Not wasting my money on this.

5. Hada Labo Deep Clean & Pore Refining Face Wash
I admit I'm a Hada Labo fan and almost all of their products work on me. Unfortunately, this one failed me badly. It doesn't have deep cleansing effect as suggested. After I wash my face with this cleanser, I still find traces of foundation on my cotton pad when I use my toner. And it doesn't refine my pores as well. I don't notice any changes. I think there's is half tube but I just can't be bothered to continue using it.

6. Maybelline the Rocket Volum' Express
Not the best Maybelline mascara but it is ok. I don't like the packaging because it is fat and short, makes it hard to grip. I think this is just an average mascara. I'm not too sure if I would want to recommend this to you. Kalau nak beli, beli lah. Kalau tak nak beli pun tak rugi. You know what I mean?

7. Crazy Rumors Lemonade Chapstick
I love the product but not the scent. It does give a good coverage for my chapped lips and protect it from losing moisture. Unfortunately, the lemon scent is so strong. It reminds me of toilet cleaner or the thing you put in your cupboard to chase away cockroach. I'm not sure what its name is, but I'm pretty sure it smells the same.

8. Cellnique Intensive Hydro Repair Elixir
This serum is made of snail mucin which makes your skin firmer. The result is super minimal. It does help a little bit to lift saggy skin underneath the cheekbones area. If you are looking into products that help lifting and firming, you can try this.

9. M.A.C. Blacktrack
The most durable gel liner I've ever tried. This little jar last me 3 years and it is still usable. I'm throwing it out because I already have a new jar. Or else I will still be using it. The eyeliner stay as it is once you apply it. Even after a crazy night out, the next day my eyeliner still look fresh. And the best thing, I wore this into the sea. It's waterproof. Totally recommend this to everyone. However, you need to have a good brush to use this.

That's all folks. I'll continue to save up all my empty jars for the next What's In My Trash.

I agree, the rubbish stash of a beauty blogger is so telling of what works and what doesn't. There's some worthy insight in that bin bag.
Thanks for an honest user-based post.
