Here's a quick one. After trying the Everlasting Liquid Lipstick by Kat Von D, I was swoon over the texture and longevity of the product. My only problem with the lipstick is, the colour Witch isn't something I can wear daily. To show my love for the lipstick, I got myself another tube in a wearable colour which is Bow and Arrow - a dark nude. My colleague was the culprit of my additional shopping for this. She saw my review and wanted the colour "Outlaw" - a super rich diva red colour. I offered my Sephora 10% discount to her. While checking out, I drop this into the cart as well.
The colour turned out to be chocolate milk colour. It suits any skin tone and definitely one of the well-loved colour in the Everlasting Liquid Lipstick collection. I know this isn't the most flattering colour, but it is something which I can put on to work everyday.
There are several dupes for this shade. The significant one would be Kylie Jenner's Dolce K, however in terms of finishing, the KVD one is completely matte. And another close dupe would be the Jeffree Star's Celebrity Skin.
I'm not sure if you have heard of the drama between Kat Von D and Jeffree Star. It is the hottest gossip in the beauty industry currently. KVD is accusing JS for stealing her formula. And there is also issues of JS using similar logo. Whether you are #TeamKVD or #TeamJeffreeStar, it really doesn't matter. But my point is, it is entertaining, especially in the beauty world, the news are kind of dry most of the time. Do head to YouTube and hear two sides of the story. Both of them have their own explanation and defence posted on their respective YouTube channels.
The Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick is available at Sephora for RM99.
