The "What's in my trash" is a periodically series in this blog showcasing beauty products that I have used up till the last drop and products that I toss out after a few trial. This series will give you a good summary of why the products ended up in my trash and hopefully helps you in deciding whether to purchase the product or not.
The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner
I share this with my boyfriend and we both agree that it is a good toner. This toner contains white willow bark, lemon tea tree oil and organic tea tree oil. The Tea Tree essence helps to calm stubborn acne. The ingredients pulp tend to sit at the bottom of the bottle. I constantly forget to shake it to activate the ingredients. Despite not shaking it, the toner still as effective. It leaves a cooling sensation which my boyfriend enjoys, but it can be stinging if you have an open wound. I will definitely repurchase this for my boyfriend. I would highly recommend this to those of you who always suffer from bad break outs or having acne problems. The tea tree particals has medicinal is effective in medicating acne, infections and skin problems caused by environmental aggression.
Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ulra Definition Liquid Makeup
I have a specific review for this foundation <<here>>. This is a great foundation for "no makeup" look. It is lightweight and blends well to the skin. The coverage is light and may expose dark spots easily. Nonetheless, it makes a great foundation for everyday wear. I'm already in my second bottle now. This foundation is worth recommending.
Lucido-L Designing Pump Hair Jelly < Smooth Straight
I'm not a fan of this product. There is a whole lot of product in this bottle but I don't want to to use it anymore. It doesn't straighten my hair as it claims. And the product sticks to my hair if I accidentally apply a little too much. The texture is thick and sticky. I really can't live with this product since it didn't perform for the purpose it is made. Disappointed with it and definitely won't recommend or purchase it again.
M.A.C Brush Cleanser
I love this brush cleanser. But I use it sparsely and mainly for my expensive brush only. The price is expensive for a brush cleaner. If you think you can afford it, go ahead. It is gentle to the bristles of the brush and removes the residue of makeups from the brushes easily. It can be use wet or dry. I believe there are cheaper brush cleaner out there, so I won't be buying this again to save my bucks for a new tube of lipstick.
This is the oldest skincare that have ever invented that hasn't change its formula since day one. Shiseido have sold this face essence since 1897 (My greatgrandmother wasn't even born yet!). Initially I was attracted to it and believe in the efficacy of the product until I switch to SK-II Facial Treatment Essence. What I don't like about this product is the scent. It is obvious that I won't be using this anymore since the SK-II FTE suits me better.
Hada Labo Retinol Lifting + Firming Lotion
The texture of this toner is too thick for my liking. I don't see much improvement from using it for a month, so I'm giving up. Although it failed me in the firming department, it does a good job on the hydration part. I believe this product has its potential and I think this product suits matured skin better.
M.A.C. Pro Longwear SPF10 Foundation
Before I got so attached to the Urban Decay Naked Skin foundation, this used to be my beloved daily foundation. However, it has a thicker coverage and I agree it should not be a daily foundation. After cleansing, I still find residue of it on my cotton pad when applying toner. What I love about this foundation is the flawless coverage. It reflects really well in photos and I look radiant in pictures everytime I use it. I might repurchase this again to use it for events and outings, not for daily use.
NARS Org*** Blush
I still find the name of the shade offensive. I got this miniature version as a free gift after spending my entire salary at NARS Taiwan. Although this blush is internationally acclaimed as one of the flattering blush shade for all skin tone, I don't like it on me. The traces of gold speckles is the main culprit of my hatred. It doesn't look good on me at all. Not going to purchase the full size and I'm glad I was given this miniature to try on.
That's it for my trash for now. Let me accumulate more trash to show you guys what's worth and what's not.
