[Review] Witch's Pouch Selfie Like Shot Dual Lipstick

Brand: Witch's Pouch
Product name: Selfie Like Shot Dual Lipstick
Available at: Althea Online
Price: RM65  RM25

Easy gradient. Soft like butter. Tidy lip line. Moist. Long lasting.

Gradient lips trend is not dead. In fact, gradient (or ombre) lips trend is getting ever popular after the hit Korean drama Descendants of the Sun's product placement features the Laneige Two Tone Lip Bar. For an affordable option, Witch's Pouch offers the same two-tone lipstick in one lipstick.

Texture & finishing
The lipstick is a cream lipstick, which means it has no shimmer and it is not matte as well. It is hydrating and smooth to glide one. However, to get an opaque colour, you need about 3 coats.

The Shade
The shade that I have is 02 which is Selfie Orange and Nudie. On the top of the lipstick is bright tangerine orange colour. And another side is a pinkish skintone nude colour. The two colours are very contrasting which makes the ombre stands out better.

Staying power
Although this is a great lipstick, however, the staying power is not as great as other lipsticks. You need to reapply every 2-3 hours. It stains the cup and also vanish after every meal.

What I love about it
The price is obviously the pulling factor to purchase it. For RM25 lipstick with two tones, what more can you ask for? It is also moisturizing and won't cause any chapping on the lips. The gradient effect also achievable easily and blendable with 3 swatches.

What I don't like about it
The lack of staying power is something which I can't avoid. It requires a lot of touch up throughout the day.

This lipstick is recommendable especially for those who wanting to try gradient lipstick. The two tones lipstick allow endless of possibilities - whether you want the orange on outer part, inner part, bottom of your lips only or top of your lips, the side or middle. I hope you can picture what I mean. If you're looking to get a two-tone lipstick for the first time, I do advise you to get familiar with the Witch's Pouch one before you jump into the Laneige Two Tone Lip Bar which cost RM150. There is nothing to hate about this lipstick and I do use it daily at the moment.
