February 2017 Favourites

February is my least favourite month because it is the official cut off for the new year and it is a shorter month compared to the other months. Although it's just 3 days short, I feel like I would miss out a lot in February. Here are the usual 5 favourites ranging from beauty to books. Basically, the "monthly favourites" are special pick of the things I enjoyed in the month in no particular order:

#1 - Hologram purse

I bought this purple hologram purse from H&M. I must say that this purse isn't the best quality, but for the price of below RM50, I don't have much to complain about. In my previous January favourites, I have discovered a new problem that my long purse doesn't fit into the bags, especially the Gucci Soho. Since hologram is in trend now, I have been looking for one of these smaller purse and I was lucky enough to find it in H&M. This purse caught a lot of attention, I'm not sure if it is a good or bad thing. The good thing is, it becomes a conversation starter whenever people notice my purse. The bad thing is, I can't reveal it too much because it might attract the wrong attention such as snatch theft.

#2 - Casey Neistat Vlog

I have been following the popular YouTuber Casey Neistat for a long time. But not until recently I religiously follow his videos. His video on the Emirates First Class upgrade triggered me to watch his videos. He's very original and spontaneous on his videos. Very few Youtubers are able to be as natural as him. As a person, he's very cool and I believe he's likeable on offline too. Anyway, go and watch some of his videos and you'll get hooked.

#3 - Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G. Lipstick

This is the No.1 lipstick in my list. Previously I have heard of many good things about this lipstick, but I thought it was just marketing gimmick from the brand to sponsor all the YouTube beauty gurus. After I tried it myself, I have to agree that this is a great lipstick. First of all, the shades are very special where you can't get exact dupe from any other lipstick brands. It is moist and stays creamy throughout the day. It doesn't dry on the lips and the color withstand one or two meals. I highly recommend you to get it if you manage to find one. Although it is not available in Malaysia, I'm sure you can get it shipped from either Harrods or Neiman Marcus. Check out the review <<here>>.

#4 - Happiness Project Book

To be honest, I feel like my life is complete. Occasionally, I wish that I have more time to spend with my family. And sometimes I whine about being poor. And that's just the regular sighs. Deep down inside I'm pretty much happy with life - I am healthy, I have supportive family, I have a job that pays a decent salary, I a handful of good friends I can rely on, I have a roof on top of my head, I have sufficient money to last for a few years to come, and basically all my necessities are taken care of (I owe all this to my parents). I just can't understand why I still don't feel satisfied with my life but at the same time I'm unsure what I need to repair in my life. I picked up this book at the airport by chance to kill my transit boredom. And this book carefully crafted to assist the readers for a happier life. I won't go deep into the content of the book because I plan to reserve a book review for it in a separate post. This book is divided into months. It started with energy - to be able to enjoy life fully we need energy. And that's where I'm going to start with... Jogging at least twice a week. Wait for the rest of the book review. Or better, read the book yourself. Get it from Amazon <<here>>.

#5 - Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

This mascara gives the most volume compared to other highly raved mascaras in the market. I got the sample size from the Christmas set I purchased and so far I am enjoying it more than the eyeshadows. The mascara is easily removed and doesn't leave the dark stain around eye areas. This is my daily mascara right now and I will be purchasing the full size once I run out of the sample size.

Well, these are all my favorites for this month. Oh, March please have mercy...
