2F+ Coffee Cafe by Yellow House, Penang

This cafe is easily missed and hidden behind the foliage of creeping money plants. Besides hidden behind the green natural curtain, the location isn't suitable for a cafe. Its neighbors are old furniture shops, mechanic workshops, renovation shops, etc. Because of these subtle aspects, it quickly became a hidden gem in the Relau area.

Location: Jalan Paya Terubung, 11900 Bayan Lepas, Pulau Pinang (scroll down below for parking tips)Business hour: 10:00AM - 10:30PM (Closed on Mondays)
Price: Approximately RM10 for coffee, RM30 for a meal

We ordered the pork cheeseburger, tiramisu, and flat white coffee. The food is great! The cheeseburger is highly recommended, although the cheese came from the sliced cheese like the Kraft cheese, it tastes really good. The bun is pillow-soft and the patty is an actual chunk of meat that is tenderly cooked. I like that they put the sauce aside and swap regular chips to nachos. The tiramisu contains alcohol, from my tongue, it tasted like Kahlua. And the flat white is worth coming back for more.

I don't always write about my cafe trip (because I went to lots of it), but I feel like this place needs a buzz. The food is good, but it is so hidden that it is hard to get by. Hence, I suggest you to Google Relau Tua Pek Kong Temple for your parking spot. If you are Googling the location of the cafe itself, it will lead you to the main road which you can't park.

Follow the red dotted trail to go to the back of the cafe. You will see the sign below that indicates the side entrance of the cafe.

You'll pass by an alley full of random antiques and potted plants. If you spot the scene below, you're on the right track to the side entrance.

The cafe is a family-friendly cafe. If you're going to bring your children with you, don't worry about them getting bored. There are plenty of comics, books and small corners for them to discover. By the number of books displayed in the cafe, it wouldn't be a surprise if you mistaken it as a mini-library.

If you're in Bayan Lepas area, do give this rustic cafe a try.
